Community Learn to Swim
Some of our parents had concerns that our children were not being given the opportunity to participate in any extra curricular activities, particularly swimming. The cost was a major factor. After some discussion three of our parents decided to take up the challenge and equip themselves to coach their own children. With the support of a local business "Westend Aquatics" and Swim NZ these parents are well on the way to becoming qualified swimming coaches. There have been 15 children who have completed a course with the parents and more will follow. These photos tell the story.
